Wall Street virtually unchanged ahead of nonfarm payrolls

Wall Street ended flat today ahead of the nonfarm payrolls showdown on Friday in the US shift.

Stock were generally unchanged unchanged while markets get set  for the US  jobs report that will be the highlight of the week in respect to the outlook for the FOMC for the rest of the year. 

For today, it was all about the BoE setting a gloomy picture for the UK economy ahead. The Bank of England cut interest rates as expected but added more stimulus than what markets had been prepared for as a preemptive measure to protect against the downgrades to the UK's growth going forward.  

The S&P 500  closed at 2,164.27. The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished flat at 18,352.19 and  the Nasdaq Composite Index closed higher on the session by 6.51 points, or 0.1%, at 5,166.25.
