ECB's Draghi: TLTROs to enhance accommodative stance, work on ABS purchases intensify
FXStreet (Łódź) - At the press conference following the announcement of ECB's decision to keep monetary policy steady in August, Mario Draghi says that moderate recovery continues in the EU with low inflation and dynamics.
• Key interest levels will remain in place for extended period of time.
• "Inflation expectations for medium- to long-term continue to be firmly anchored in line with our aim of just below 2%," Draghi assures.
• Measures introduced in June led to easing of ECB's policy stance.
• TLTROs, which will kick off next month, will enhance our will enhance ECB's accommodative stance.
• As measures make way to the economy they will help push inflation up to the 2% target.
• Work on ABS purchases has intensified.
